Can I use a steam mop or steam cleaner on Designflooring?
We would not recommend that you use a steam mop or cleaner because the heat and steam can emulsify the adhesive, in turn this can cause the tiles to lift. Designflooring manufacture our own cleaning and maintenance system which has been specifically designed to retain the original aesthetics of your floor without causing damage. Why is it important for me to use Designflooring's cleaning and maintenance products?

How can Designflooring Clean help protect against the coronavirus?
Our Designflooring Clean floor cleaner contains soap rather than disinfectant. Using Clean on your floor helps to break up and safely remove any germs that are on the surface, in the same way as using soap for washing your hands. As always, a regular clean is recommended to maintain hygiene.

Can spilt liquids seep through tile edges?
Your floor should have been fitted tightly so that no spillages seep through tile edges or custom cuts. To avoid slippery surfaces, any spills should be cleaned up straight away.
What floor mat can I use on a Designflooring floor?
Certain types of rubber back mats may stain the floor, and instead mats with a latex backing should be used. To be sure you are using the correct mat please seek advice from your supplier.
How do I remove scratches?
Light scratches can be removed by simply preparing the floor using the Designflooring Remove, wipe off the residue with a mop and rinse thoroughly with clean water. You can then re-apply your Designflooring Refresh.
I have small white spots appearing on my floor. What should I do?
White spots are usually as a result of water not being wiped up quickly from your floor - especially in bathrooms. Simply strip the floor using Designflooring Remove, wipe off the residue with a mop and rinse thoroughly with clean water. You can then re-apply your Designflooring Refresh.
How should I protect my Designflooring floor against furniture?
Simply by putting felt pads under the feet of your furniture, you can avoid table and chair legs scratching your Designflooring floor. These are available in the Floor Care Kit.
What should I use to clean my Designflooring floor?
We advise that you use Designflooring Clean to clean your floor, as some cleaning products contain agents that can damage the floor.
How should I clean spillages?
Mop up spillages as soon as possible with the Designflooring Clean.
How do I remove black scuff marks from my floor?
Dilute a small amount of Designflooring Remove in some water. Use a moistened cloth (or a non-abrasive nylon scouring pad for persistent marks) with the diluted solution.
Will Designflooring stain?
Most common stains will not affect a Designflooring floor. However there are agents that can stain, such as solvent based liquids. The use of Designflooring Refresh will provide some protection against this type of damage.
